Can iPhones break by static electricity?

Hey guys, just want to ask a quick question.
Can iPhones break by static electricity?
I mean if I touch it and give it a jolt because I'm wearing wool socks or something like that?
Im probably just paranoid, but an answer would be appreciated!

Under normal conditions no, static will not damage the iPhone.

If you were however to disassemble the iPhone you could damage components of the iPhone with static electricity. So yes iPhones can break from static electricity however it will not damage the iPhone if it is being used under normal conditions and is fully assembled.
