Can't log in to app store on iPhone 3GS

Since the latest update (4.3.1) which I did on 1/4/11, I can't log into iTunes or the app store on my iPhone 3GS. when I try it comes up with:
"The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please try again"
I can still log in to iTunes etc. on my computer but just not on my iPhone.

Any one else having this problem &/or know of a fix or just wait till update?

Enter the correct login and password, it works every single time. 🙂

Just curious... does it make a differnce if you try to log in while on Cellular data or Wi-Fi?

Have you tried resetting network settings? All settings? rebooting the device?

Your "temporary fix" workedUser uploaded file I was afraid to log out on my iPhone thinking it would never log back on. I think that upgrading to 4.3.1 did this to us. Thanks for offering out this solution and here's to hoping it stays fixed. Thanks again. PS your resolution was posted here faster than Apple Support. I am still awaiting a response other than the auto acknowledgement.

I'm on an iphone 4 and having the same problem. I can login to itunes on my computer and on the website here with my apple ID. It is not working on my iphone though. I tried going to settings > Store > log out and I was able to log out. Now it won't let me log back in though. It's giving me the exact same error message; "the apple id you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect". I know it's right. I have reset it twice so far today. If I try using a password that I KNOW is wrong I get the error message, "your itunes store password was incorrect. please try again". The I hit OK to clear the message and it gives me another popup saying that I was unable to log in to the itunes store. I was able to update all my apps in itunes on the computer and sync the phone to get the updates applied that the app store on the phone wouldn't let me do. Someone has got to come up with a fix for this!
