So here's the question. My iphone and ipad won't print because I have apparently an older HP printer. Why then is it that the coupons.com app on my iphone has no problem finding my printer and printing from it? Is there something I just need to turn on to make it work?

Because the Coupon.com app has a built in print feature over bluetooth. I guess you could load that app on your iPad and it would work also. However, to print from the iPhone you need an AirPrint printer for everything else. Apple list the compatible printers. Or you can use an app like Print n Share which is excellent all around. Hope this helps.
