I am running Logic Express 9.1.3 and am running into problems with sound cutting out. I have a Yamaha keyboard plugged into my MacBook, via Midi>USB cable. Admittedly, the cable is a cheapo from Amazon. The sound is run through the headphone jack to M-Audio BX5A monitors. The situation that I am running into is thus: while playing the piano, sometimes the notes will cut off after a second or two, even while pressing the sustain pedal. It almost sounds like bad static for a split second, and then it cuts out. The problem is usually remedied by restarting Logic, but that becomes rather annoying. I have had the same problem in GarageBand. Is it just the cheap Midi>USB cable, or is it another problem? If it is the cable, can someone recommend a better solution for me?
Thanks
Clarence

it's sadly enough a known bug (at least it is known to us users - don't know if apple has really acknowledged this, because they won't show up on this forum). Maybe you investigate in the Logic Studio forum, because there's a thread about this behavior.
