Hi. I just purchased the movie Tangled from the iTunes store for my daughter. When we play the movie on Apple TV, closed captions appears through-out the movie. I tried pressing and holding the large centre button on the iTunes remote (the one used to select chapters), because this button is used to select subtitle language for movies that have subtitles. But with Tangled, after pressing and holding the button, only the chapter selection menu appears. Does anyone know how to turn off the closed captions on this movie, or on movies in general? Thank you

Hi - experienced the same problem whilst watching Black Swan .... quite annoying !
However, found out how to remove 'Closed Captions' .... Go to settings on your Apple TV / Audio / Closed Captions / On/Off
Hope this helps.
Thank you for helping to get rid of the Closed Captioning on the Apple TV movies. Once I found the right combination of menus and that Audio/Video menu was where Closed Captioning was to be found, viewing the movies became cool again!

After weeks of going to 'settings' I finally found the shortcut on the latest AppleTV -!from the remote control with Netflix running, SWIPE DOWN, from there you get InfO, Subtitles, and Audio as options. Select subtitles-off. So much better this way...
TThis is the only thing that worked. Thanks!
