adobe flashplayer on a powerpc

hi, i know this has been discussed here before and i have read all the advice but there's one piece that i haven't been able to find.

so, like many others, i made the mistake of trying to upgrade. of course, the first thing i did was to uninstall my current flashplayer (don't know what version that was). but then i, of course, couldn't install the current flashplayer since i'm on a powerpc.

i've read that i can use one of the archived versions (apparently 10,1,102,64 is the lastest that can be used on a powerpc). i've downloaded a couple possibilities from the "archived versions" page but (and here's my big question) they don't seem to come with any sort of INSTALL device. i've got them on my desktop but i've got no way to install them ! can anybody help?!

2 GHz powerpc G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11), safari browser

If you see the actual plugin files, not the dmg download, drag them to the /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ folder.

Hi, I am also really stuck with my tiger 10.4.11 powermac g4. Started by trying to make i player work, uninstalled my version of flash (9 I think) to put on 10.1.102.64) followed instructions given to bdo3917, and keep thinking its installed, but not gone into applications, it said instalation was complete, but computer worse off than ever! Prob doesnt help am new to this computer thing, and didnt understand bit about putting into library/internet/ plug ins folder. Can you help?

Look in these locations to see if you have them already there already...

/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash Player/Flash Player.plugin

where do i find these locations? in spotlight? basically, I unistalled my version of flash, tried to put on 10.1, in said it was installed but nothing doing, iplayer is asking for flash to be put on computer, can you poss talk me thro it?

have typed /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin into finder and spotlight, nothing there. Pretty sure my download didnt work, if i ask finder for flash it only recignises Adobe Flash Player Install Manager not the program itself 😟

Spotlight is worthless for this & many other searches.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and paste this in...

/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/

oh found /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin in HD, when i click on flash player plug in in says" there is no default appliction specified to open the document flash player plug in" and in /library/application support/adobe there isnt flash player at all. Does this help you know where I am?
