Return policy for iPad Smart Cover

Is it possible to return an iPad 2 Smart Cover case, if it was opened and tested for a week? Because frankly this is not the best case I've seen in terms of protection so I bought a third party case...

Yes.
If you purchased it from Apple, they have a 14 day return policy.
if you purchased it at another reseller, contact that reseller for their return policy.

So, I just got my iPad, and it is great User uploaded file But, the smart cover is terrible for me. Problem is, apple policy says I can't return it since I have had the cover for more than 14 days. I ordered everything on March 11 (like many others) - and Apple sends what they have immediately, yet you can't put the products together to see if you even like them.

So - For Sale, 1 Tan Leather Smart Cover.

I am going to call Apple tomorrow and see what they say. Tried to return on-line.
