How to delete songs from your phone.

The first time that I synced my phone to my home computer, it put every song that was ever downloaded on that computer onto my phone. So I have about 600 that I need to get rid of! I went to the help section of itunes and went to "delete items". It told me to click the song push the delete button and it would give you a remove option. I have tried this over and over and it still wont let me do this. I have so much unwanted music on my phone and my memory on my phone is full. If anyone has had this same problem and knows how to fix it, PLEASE let me know! Thankyou!!

Under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, choose selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres instead of entire music library.

Select the iTunes playlist or playlists, and/or artists, albums, and genres that you want available on your iPhone. Select Apply followed by a sync.

If you haven't made use of iTunes playlists, now is a good time to start. Create an iTunes playlist or multiple playlists for select music or create a single iTunes playlist just for the music that you want available on your iPhone placing the music in your iTunes library in that playlist. With selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences, select the playlist you created just for your iPhone. To add additional music to your iPhone, add the music to the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. To remove music from your iPhone, remove it from the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. Removing a song from a playlist in iTunes does not delete the song from your iTunes library.
