That of course only means you can't directly use iTunes to manage your player. Nor will it play the tracks as they are.

iTunes has never kept you from burning purchased music to an audio CD that can be used like any other CD. It would likely even be useable by the application that came with your player... 😉

no worries. It isn't easy for a reason: to keep the less scrupulous folks from making really, really good verions that then end up on p2p networks 😉

1)set up a playlist with everything you want to burn.
2)in the preference pane, under burning, check "Audio CD"
3)burn the playlist to an audio CD.
4)in the preference pane, under importing, set the preference to .mp3
5)select the CD that you burned from your source list
6)look in the uper right corner. There should be an iconrelated to step 4. Click it.
7)wait...
7.5)ding!
8)use whatever app came with your player to load it. If it is a flash based player, you might even be able to drag and drop.

Just remember: purchased music can't be directly converted to a non protected file type. It needs to be an audio CD first. I have a few cdrw lying around for this.

We will now see if the Hosts are in the Holiday spirit, 'cause that last post might have crossed the line in spelling out explicitly how to remove DRM. I hope you got to see it. If not, use the search box at the top, and remember that when you burn an AUDIO CD with iTunes, it is treated like a store bought CD in every respect by iTunes.

I've imported tons of comercial CDs as mp3 files... 😉
