intermittent hardware failures

My iPhone is experiencing intermittent hardware failures, wherein some system will stop responding until it gets reset. Examples:

Couldn't regain GPS signal after going through a tunnel until I switched airplane mode on and off.
Stopped receiving cellular data one day until I reset the cellular data option (this was in an area with 5 bars of service).
Ignored the buttons on my earbuds one day until I used the volume buttons on the phone itself.
Ignored the accelerometer until I rebooted the phone.

Each of the above has happened once to me. Has anyone else experienced similar situations where their iPhone just ignores some system until that system is reset? I'm thinking I should go in to the nearest Apple Store and get my phone exchanged.
