GE 98780 Card Reader

I checked on General Electrics website but they only have a Windows driver for their 98780 19-in-1 Card Reader. Does anyone know of any kexts for OS X Tiger that would work?

Hi, have you tried it yet?

Most USB card readers don't need any drivers or kexts, even for OS9...

System Requirements:

Computer with at least one USB port
Windows® 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista
Requires Macintosh OS 9 or X; Built for Mac OS X Windows® 98SE requires a downloadable driver available at www.jascoproducts.com

It's just a standard camera SD card. And thanks for reminding me to post what Apple System Profiler says about it, here's the hierarchy:

v USB Bus
v Hub
Mass Storage Device (My SD card)
MIAB Optical (which is my mouse)
M2452 (No clue what this is. Says it's made by Alps.)

Here's the info for the Mass Storage Device:

Version: 1.26
Bus Power (mA): 100
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Generic
Product ID: 0x6362
Serial Number: 058F312D81B
Vendor ID: 0x058f

The card/card reader works on a PC running both Windows Vista and Linux and on a PC running Windows XP MCE. I'm pretty sure it's formatted as FAT32.
I also (out of curiosity) just checked whether it would work with my iMac G3 running OS 9.2.2 and it doesn't show up on that either. I opened up Disk First Aid and it doesn't even know it's there. I also checked Apple System Profiler and it says:

Mass Storage (Mass Storage Device)
Product ID: 25442 ($6362)
Vendor: Alcor Micro, Inc. (Generic) ($58f)
Driver version: 2.1.1
Driver name: USBMassStorageDriver
Power (mA): 500 ($1f4)
Release number: 1.2.6
Serial number: 58F312D81B

I noticed that the common denominator here is that they both recognize it, but can't use it, and that they both have a driver for it
