Websites and AirPlay - How to view static content?

Airplay does not do what you want.
There is no app that will do that either.

If you want to show websites on the ipad on your TV you will need to use the HDMI cable for the ipad an connect it direct to your TV.

Yes, what you're trying to do is called Mirroring, and it's only possible using the Apple Digital AV Adaptor going from your iPad 2 into a TV.

If the static content is pictures or photographic, you can use the photo feature of the Apple TV rather than websites. If however your content is indeed web pages, take note that web pages with text in any case do not display well on a TV and you'd be much better investing in a large monitor to show your clients such websites.

AirPlay is not designed for what you want though. It is your playing photos or videos from an iphone or ipad on an appletv.

Would static web pages be OK (just to show design/layout)? You could take screen captures (Grab on the Mac works great) and then just serve up the photos with the Apple TV.
