Moving epub books to ipad 2

I purchased a book from BooksOnBoard called The Apostle, by Brad Thor. The download is in a folder labled "ebool The Apostle" and the file inside the folder is "Download.acsm"

Is there a way to move this book from my desktop PC to my iPad 2? I have not found a way to get the iTunes Library to recognize it.

The .acsm file isn't the book - it's a purchase ticket that allows you to download the book. Locate the real book file, and try converting it to epub format if it is not. You then can drag the file into iTunes like a music file, and sync it onto your iPad. There are a lot of eBook converter tools on the web, a very good and free one is calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/

Once you get the epub file, another way to get the book into your ipad is if you use a dropbox account. Save the file to your dropbox - free 2gb cloud storage - from your PC and then open it in your dropbox on the ipad.
