I lost folder sync arrangment when switching to a new mac. Is there a way to prevent this?
I arranged all of my apps into folders in iTunes, and when I synch my iPad2, all organisation is lost. I've tried this many times, with different numbers of folders, and everything is still lost on the first synch. How can I get the iPad to retain the folders?
Unfortunately, there is no setting or any way to guarantee that the folder structure will be maintained when syncing the device. I have read more that a few threads about this issue and if there is a definitive way to fix it, I have not seen it.
I have never had my folder structure destroyed when syncing - but I have only a handful of apps compared to most users - 69 to be exact - and all of my folders still reside on my home.
If you want to send feedback to Apple about this issue - and I suggest that you do since the more users that contact Apple about it - the better the chances of them addressing the issue will be.
