GameCenter won't let me sign in or sign up

Hi, I'm trying to sign into GameCenter for the first time and after entering my Apple ID and password, it prompts me to set up my account. So I confirm my country and date of birth but then I get the same pop-up telling me 'This Apple ID has not yet been used in GameCenter. Tap continue to set up your account'. So I tap Continue, it asks for my location and date of birth again, I tap Next and get the same message and on and on. What do I need to do?

I too am having the same problem white iPad 64g at&t apple fix your app and please provide a better way to get support for your system malfunctions instead of us having to search third party sites etc. to find a resolution for your system or app not functioning as advertise. I'm a loyal apple fan iphone4, ipod,ipod touch, ipad, ipad2, macbook pro but come on give me a break.... If I wasn't so terrified of google I would probably be on the android ban wagon. Come on you can only play elitist so much until people just start seeing you as a snob. Fix your app please or at-least provide better support. Thank you.

YES! I found a fix. Start a game that supports Game Center, in my case it was Gun Bros. Then when it starts it asks you if you wanna sign into GameCenter with an existing account or create a new one. I pressed existing and used my Apple ID. Then it asks you to confirm some stuff and agree. The BAM! Your signed into GameCenter, now you have an account and it works.

Well, we tried Dragon Vale which is Game Center aware, and still no joy.


It said "You need to sign into Game Center, tap OK to continue", it then took us back, to the same old game centre login window, we typed in the Apple ID and password (and we tried resetting the password, per suggestions in many other email / support threads), and we still get stuck in the loop of "location -> date of birth -> this appleID has not yet been set up -> location -> date of birth -> etc. etc."


Come on Apple, this has been an ongoing issue for over a year now, PLEASE post a decent how-to to fix it, not have us rely on user community experimentation, or have to load up Gun Bros or whatever, just to get Game Center to work.

Yep. Count me as another who is having the >exact< same issue. No matter how I try or how I get there, I get into the dreaded game center crappy app loop of death: set up my account -> country -> DoB -> Continue to setup account.


As above, fix it or let us know how to clean out whatever cruft is jamming it up. I am not going to reset my iphone to default because of this one poorly written app.
