Apr 18, 2011 1:39 AM in response to Bassim SW6by superflysamurai, you could always open the camera roll folder on your mac / pc from your iPhone, drag out the file in question and drop it into the pictures folder that syncs with itunes.
Then just sync up your iPad in iTunes and the file in question should be on your iPad.

Jul 4, 2012 9:54 AM in response to Bassim SW6by pixelSmooth,Or if iMessages is signed in using the same account on both devices, attach the video and send the message to yourself. It'll appear on the other device as well and you can then save it to your Camera Roll.

Jan 10, 2013 6:20 PM in response to Bassim SW6by Rich Rydalch,Am I missing something here?
I cannot find iMovie on my iPad.

Jan 13, 2013 6:58 AM in response to Rich Rydalchby phoenix316,Rich, you have to buy iMovie from the App Store. It isn't included software, but about $5. Good tip about emailing or messaging it to yourself. I was bummed that PhotoStream does not include videos. Seems like a big oversight to me.

Jan 27, 2013 7:06 PM in response to Bassim SW6by markjohnfee,When you plug your iPad or iphone into computer there should to a box opened, then you click “view files” to find the videos you want to transfer and do the copy and paste thing. If you didn’t see the box you can click on your home button then go to computer tab, you will see your iphone /ipad, then click on it untill it downloads the photos and videos.
For more details information, you can go through below page of transferring video from iPhone to iPad:
* How to transfer iPhone videos to iPad on PC
* How to copy video from iPhone to iPad on Mac
Try it.

Jul 21, 2013 10:55 AM in response to Bassim SW6by bbstock,I similarly find the forced use of iPhoto cumbersome.
The easiest method I have found for importing images or video from an iPhone or iPad to a Mac is via Preview.
Simply open up Preview, which is the default image viewer on Macs, and under the "File" menu choose the device that you've connected (your iPhone, iPad or camera). Then, you have the choice of selecting the images or video you want to import and where you want to put it.
It's the "where you want to put it part" that I most appreciate.
Anyway, it's as simple as that.
Hope it helps others!

Aug 19, 2013 2:42 PM in response to Bassim SW6by Kenny94,The only problem with sending videos to yourself via email or imessage is that it reduces the video resolution, and you can see all kinds of pixels on the video. :(

Sep 16, 2013 8:35 AM in response to Bassim SW6by Michaelain,You can transfer files between iPhone & iPad via the iPhone Camera Connection Kit.
When I plug in my iPhone it detects it as a camera on the iPad.
I've transfered videos that were recorded off my iPhone - but I'll have to see if you can somehow transfer movies that are in the 'videos' folder.

Why I can't transfer my videos and photos?

Feb 3, 2014 2:37 PM in response to Jutiyr2by Kiwiphone4,On a Mac you are not restricted to only using iPhoto.
You can use Preview as stated above,
or use "Image Captute".
This is an app found in Applications / Utilities
Or do a spotlight search.

Aug 31, 2016 10:33 AM in response to Bassim SW6by keithfrommarietta,Airdrop is not available on iPad 2 (which I have). I imported some videos from my iPhone to my Macbook Pro using iPhoto. To get them on my iPad 2, I simply created a shared album in iPhoto and shared it with myself. Then I just opened up Photos on my iPad 2 and there they were!
