Will decide what to do. Bought the 64 3G model is considerable amount of money. What happened to quality control as there are many such reports... call to Apple tomorrow ...
This light leakage has been a popular issue in the forums lately and I am sure there is something going on on the plant that makes the screens, because this shouldn't be happening.
Apple will give you a brand new replacement iPad of the same model and type.
Take it to the Apple Store and they will replace it, very few questions asked. My first iPad 2 had light leak, pixel anomaly, and bad white balance. The replacement had a white piece of lint trapped under the glass. The third replacement had severe light leak. The iPad 2 I have now has minor light leak that is only visible when looking at a black screen in a dark room. Until there is verbal response from Apple I am going to stay with this iPad. It is a fantastic device with one minor issue. I know Apple will replace it if requested.
