P-Touch substitute for Mac

Hi

Currently using Brother P-Touch 1950 with a PC but need to get similar printer that will work with my Mac Book Pro. From reading these forums it appears P-Touch is a little behind with software for Snow Leopard 10.6 and there's no indication of movement forward that I can see.

Does anyone have a suggestion for another comparable label printer that can print 1/2" labels on a Mac like my 1950 does with my PC? Wanting to gravitate completely away from the PC environment and getting very close.
