You can see if you can look it up online.
FYI, the warranty nor AppleCare will help with a broken screen. Neither cover damage.powerbook g4, iMac 20, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Time Capsule, iphone 3gs, iphone 4, ipod, ipod touch

Currently Being ModeratedApr 11, 2011 1:32 PM (in response to DACR6)I took the iPod to an Apple Store and they replaced it at no charge! Thanks to Apple for their outstanding customer service and helpful employees.
Currently Being ModeratedApr 11, 2011 3:05 PM (in response to DACR6)That is unusual for Apple to do that, but you are the second one I heard of lately that got a new one. I have a feeling the iPod touches might be prone to damage easily when dropped and Apple doesn't want any negative press, so they are just replacing them for free. They will just go fix your old one and sell it as a refurb anyway.17" i7 Quad-Core MacBook Pro • 256 SSD • 8G RAM, Mac OS X (10.6.7), iPhone 4 • My Web App URL: dave.merten.mobi
Currently Being ModeratedApr 12, 2011 8:23 PM (in response to Mac Medic (be@MacOSG.com))yeah I know I was amazed too, I bought mine less that 2 weeks after they came out and what I'm noticing with the replacement I got is that it is faster and more responsive than the one that broke, also the light sensor is more sensitive to light changes and adjusts accordingly, maybe the first batch of touches were a little defective and they replaced it because it fell under the one year warranty, because they told me they were going to check it and took it to the backroom and then a few mins later they replaced it no questions asked, though they did tell me that the screen damage was not covered by the warranty. I am now very happy with my new one!MacBook Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz 1GB memory, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

So I just broke mine too. And I have only had it for two weeks. Do you think they will replace even though we bought it at best buy? And should I go to the store? Or would it be okay for me to call in first? I just feel if I called in it would be easier for them to deny me then in person. But I'm not sure..

You can try BestBuy first. What do you have to lose. I would go in person since, as you said, it would be easier to deny over the phone.

Really? That's nice! What was the proecdure?
Do they ask for a reciept? Do you have to have Applecare?
Please respond, I just broke my iTouch 4G 8GB screen, and I sent an email to the only reseller in town,
and they said it could cost up to 300 euros! ($411). And I really DON'T want to pay that much as you might as well just buy a new one!

The warranty wouldn't have covered it anyway. See above for the cost. You can always try going in and asking if you want. Seems some have been lucky.
