In order to manually add or remove content such as music, movies, and playlists to your iPod, you must have the *Manually manage music and videos* option selected from under your iPod's Summary tab in iTunes.
When dragging content to your iPod simply drag it to your iPod under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. iTunes will automatically know where to place the content on your iPod.

i've been doing it for 2 years now. but suddenly, when i drag one song to my ipod, it selects all of the contents under the device section. the song i selected automatically appears on every contents of the device section.acer, Windows XP Pro
