Hey,
Is Facetime compatible with other video cam communications like skype, iChat, etc..? If the other person doesn't have facetime, can they video chat using different software? Thank you.

    No. FaceTime only works with others who use FaceTime.

    Yes.

    Look for video chat apps whose system requirements can be met by all your contacts. For example, if both of you can use Skype, it is an app that is fairly easy to use for free video chatting between computers:

    Both users must have their appropriate Skype versions installed.

    If you have a Mac, iChat gives the best video along with many other features:

    However, PC users may find it more difficult to connect with iChat than Skype.
