Date & Time... but where is the Date??

Date & Time... but where is the Date??

At the top of my iPad in the screen title bar I can view the current time but also would like to see the day/date so off I went into settings and under general found the time/date settings but inside this the only options available are to to with time... In fact there is no mention of date.

So my two questions are... where are the date settings? And can I display the date on the iPad screen title bar next to the time display?

64 Bit Intel, Windows 7

Oh I have found it ... The date appears when you turn off to set it 'automatically', which makes good sense. Just hope someone at apple will now consider an option to display it at the top of the screen. Thanks for helping me solve this, well in part anyway.

*If you want to set the date manually, tap on the date. There isn't a setting to show the date next to the time on the screen.*

David, thanks for the quick reply but when you say tap on date to change it... Where abouts is that exactly on the iPad? I cannot see the date anywhere.

Click on the Settings App... General... Time and Date.

The auto setting should give you the correct date.

I'm totally with you on this one!
I would also like to see the date displayed in the status bar next to the time.

Surely Apple could easily fix this in a new iOS release?

Yes totally agree I'm so used to seeing the date and time at the top of my iMac that it's a real pain for it not to be there on the iPad. Must be a simple update to enable it
