Voice recording in GarageBand

I'm trying to record voices but there seems to be an 8-second limit. It stops recording after 8 seconds. I can get another block after that (B) but I can't put a voice track, say, from the 7-second mark to the 10-second mark.

Dan,

I had this problem too. but it is a quick fix. When you are on the recording screen for any instrument or your voice, (ie not the mixer screen) click on the "puzzle piece" under the My Songs tab, tap on Section A and then tap Automatic to On. When Automatic is On you can record longer sections. Or if you have Automatic set to Off you can set the number of bars you want to record.

Hope this helps.
