Ipad losing wifi connection

I've got a wifi only Ipad I connect with my iphone hotspot, the problem that I am having is that after a while in sleep mode the Ipad does not reconnect to my iphone, I have to shut down the hotspot on the phone and then reconnect on the Ipad. I reset the network settings and it still. Is there anything that can be done? I've got IOS 4.3

I have similar issues with my iPad2.

iPad works fine and it is connected to wireless network. After it has been in sleep mode for some time, it does not connect to network anymore even if the status bar shows full wireless signal.
I need to turn wifi OFF and then ON again and then it works again. Any ideas how to solve the problem, because it is annoying to go to settings every time I use my iPad2.
