Hi Marc,I recently solved this problem.
everything you need is just downloading and install paragon ntfs application on your mac and enjoy.
you can copy your mac files to any external hard.
I should say this application is free just for 10 days and you should buy it if you like that.
but I have a little problem for copying external hard files to mac even though with using of this application many of my troubles solved.
I know you already found a solution with DropBox. However, an alternative solution would be to use a FAT-formatted drive to transfer the 132 GB of files. The only condition would be that none of those files is larger than 4 GB. FAT 32 will not allow you to write a file larger than that. Just a suggestion...
Hi All u can access your external drive via a browser eg :- Google chrome
In my case what i did was i draged the icon (that is my external HDD)that appears on the Desktop
to the browser Chrome or any browser can do it
and it opened the content like ftp and i then dragged the file to copy so it started as if it is downloading the file and it was faster than any file manager Dont need of any other softwares
