Q: A question about very low speed

Since last week, my final cut server syestm speed became very very low. When I do any thing on it,(upload or export video files, even launch the final cut server)the responce was very very slow. And when I came into final cut server syestm via client (or server),the preview of some video files can not be seen, only a quicktime icon showed.I think this is caused by the reason of speed. May be there are too many caches or temporary system files? BUT the important is the reason and how can I solve the problem? Anyone can help me? Thanks for 10,000 times!

imac, Mac OS X (10.6.6), fcs3 fcserver1.5

Be sure you have enough RAM to handle the amount of assets you have in the catalog.

Be sure ALL hard drives have at least 15% free space.

In the "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 1.5" book, one of the last chapters shows how to tweak the buffers to increase performance.
