Charging iPad with Extension Cord

I don't have an electrical outlet close enough to charge my iPad 1. Is it safe to use an extension cord to charge it?

yes most your outlets are basic just extension cords running inside your walls

Rudegar is correct. It's fine. I use them and I also use a USB extender cable all the time.

Follow the basic saftey precautions you always should with an extension cord: make sure that the iPad charger is completely plugged in, make sure that the cord isn't pinched under furniture or lying about where someone might trip on it, don't overload the outlet.
