Final Cut Pro X

In mid-April they said it would be available for download in June. It's June 1st. That means you have less than 30 days to wait. We all want to know, and we'll all probably know at about the same time.

Now I've heard they are not even close to being finished.

Where did you hear this?

Dear gawwd I hope you are right. A friend of mine from Full Sale told me this information. He should know... He goes to film making school, however I do not know where he got this info. I haven't seen any advertising for FCPX... That is why I'm totally skeptical of this release date in June. Apple should clear this up.

Well, I spoke to an engineer at Apple yesterday and he told me... wait for it... Sometime in June!

But maybe the Full Sale Film Student knows more...

Safe to say most of the 35,000+ views so far have been made by some fairly intrigued/anxious FCP users.

And IMHO Trepin, in a thread followed by hundreds of industry pros, you kinda left yourself wide open with "...he should know". Just a thought. . .

i read the posts. didn't sound like anyone knew. i figured he would know more than me! he's in a school for film making... sheesh..

What day in June will Apple reveil all?

I don't know whether to hold my breath or relax and look again in 3 weeks.....

June 9, 2011 should be the date.

Your friend doesn't know anything. No one outside of Apple does.

Those on the inside who do are not allowed to tell.

Until it actually says so on apple.com, everything else is pure speculation or lies.

I thought it was going to come out June 1st. Is it out? It looks like what's being offered is $999. What's up with that $299? Now, say I was going buy a Mac along with this product called Final Cut Pro X (10)....this is a tough one because I really am not looking for the standard Apple answer "spend as much as you can afford!" In order to use with 1080 HD from my Canon DSLR.....what is the least expensive Mac that I can buy which will run this program....and also allow me to encode quickly (this cancels out the macbook 13 & 15"?
