Frozen iBooks App

I was loving my iBooks until the latest update. First it dumped off all of my books although thankfully I could re-sync them from iTunes. Now the app is frozen - unable to read the books, unable to get into the Store. I note that some others have had similar problems dating back to mid-March and no one has been able to assist, it would seem.

I've tried downloading the app again but to no avail. Please Apple, come on......... no iBooks, no buy books!

I have discovered a solution to the issue with the iBookstore.

Reboot the device by holding down the Home button and the on/off switch at the same time. Continue to hold past the point where you will be prompted to "slide to power off" until the screen goes blank. At this point the device should reboot. If it doesn't hold the on/off switch for a second and the Apple logo should appear signifying a restart.

Once the device restarts you should be able to successfully navigate through iBooks again.

It worked for me.

Good luck!
