Embedding audio and video in Pages and saving to PDF or word

While working on an ebook I was delighted to find the capability to insert audio and video on Pages. However, when I went to save it to pdf or Microsoft word, I lose it (just tried audio). Since this would be an ebook where the general public would purchase it, I need it to be in pdf or at least be able to have it in two formats and send out which type of pc someone purchasing it would have. How would I do that? thanks

To be specific Pages does not retain multimedia in anything other than the .pages format. ie It does not export them at all.

i guess you might have to create media labels (ie like a caption) and reinsert them in the pdf using Acrobat Pro or in MsWord using MsWord.

and thank you again! i was thinkiing of how to insert an animated elbast or flash movie into a pages doc.....acrobat Pro it is.....question....... is there anything less expensive that will do it? or is that it?
