Q: FC Server won't install
Hi,
I'm sure I'll get a few facepalms for this one but here we go.
I just updated the Mac Pro at my office to Snow Leopard and I'm now trying to install FC Server (v 1.0) that we've had sitting around forever but the disk drive keeps spitting the disk back out without showing up on the desktop or starting up automatically. After researching for a little while, I decided to come here and see if I could get a better answer and if there is a work around for any problems there might be.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys and gals can provide.
Specs on this Mac Pro:
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 3 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz

Try it on a different machine to verify it's not a bad DVD.
Try a different DVD to be sure it's not the DVD drive itself.
You're really going to want to upgrade to 1.5 on an Intel Mac with Snow Leopard, too. Be sure your FCP users are on FCP 7.
