Contact icon disappeared on my iPad

Contact icon disappeared on my iPad

The icon is gone. The contact info is still there. Just do not know how to get the icon back to do searches. I tried to reset but still not coming back! Please help with ideas on how to reset this?

iPad, iOS 4

If you mean the Contacts App icon, maybe it is on another screen. Go to the home screen and try swiping to another screen and see if it's there. Is it possible that you put it into a folder maybe?

I checked all screens and folders. The contacts app icon just disappeared. The contacts can be searched. I can get them through email "to" line too! So the data is definitely there! Just cannot tap on the icon to access them!

Any one can help?

While your iPad is connected to the computer, have you tried to look at all of the iPad screens that iTunes displays? The Contacts App is preinstalled and can not be deleted.

You tried Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout? That will reset the home screen to the factory default and the App icon should be on that screen.

How many apps do you have installed? there is limit to the number of screens on the iPad. Apps can be installed (and usable) but not show upmon a screen.
