G5 not turning on
A similar post to this is posted in the iBook forum since the G5 and the iBOok are plugged in to the same power strip.
Just today, when my husband turns on the G5, he hears the chime but the screen remains black. The computer doesn't respond to the keyboard. He has to hold down the power button until it shuts down and then restart the computer.
I don't plan to fix the computer since it's six years old, but I'm just curious if it could be the power strip (iBook battery not holding charge) or something else.
