eyet tv - Cinergy T2 Terratec

Happy Christmas everyone.

I have received an 'elgato eye tv' as a Christmas present. It's the Cinergy T2 version.

I have successfully connected the device, installed the software and applied the 1.8.4 software update. However, regardless of whether I have the small antenna attached, or a direct aerial cable, I cannot 'pick up' any channels. I have tried both the Auto Tune and the Extended Tune but neither seems to work.

Please could someone let me know if they have any ideas.
