Remotely Anywhere

Hi there,

I just recently switched to a new program called Remotely Anywhere and what it uses is Active X, Java or HTML to remote into servers using a web browser. I've tried using it on my mac that's using all updated Tiger 10.4.3. But, Safari hangs like it's loading and the tool doesn't load up show up with the desktop.

Ibook G3 700mhz Dual USB, Mac OS X (10.4.3), Safari 2.0.2(416.13)

If the program uses ActiveX, then you can only use Internet Explorer for Windows because that is the only browser that supports this proprietary Microsoft technology.

On a Mac, that means running Windows under VirtualPC.

Well remotely anywhere uses Java as an option also... I'm thinking it should still work.

If you are offered a choice, then you might be right and it could work. If Safari hangs, have you tried an alternate browser such as Camino or Firefox?
