using Microsoft Office 98 with Mac OS X

Question

using Microsoft Office 98 with Mac OS X

I'd like to use my old Microsoft Office software (particularly PowerPoint) with my newish Mac (G4) laptop, running OS X.

Can anyone tell me what problems this might cause, or whether it would work at all?

It will not work with OS X. Office 98 is an OS 9 only product. If you have OS 9 installed you can run Office 98 by booting into OS 9. Or you can run it through OS X by using Classic provided you have OS 9 installed.
