Cannot copy protected WMA - itunes, although I own the CD's, Any ideas?

I have copied a number of CDs into my Windows Media Player libary and some appear to be protected, well actually around 500 tracks.

800 non-protected WMA files have nicely copied to the itunes libray.

Looking at the apple website they state that you are able to change this setting, but after trawling loads of info I have been unable to find how. The link for this bold statement is seen below:

You will have to re-rip the CDs that you previously ripped into the protected WMA format. iTunes can't work with protected WMAs at all.

Your best bet is just to re-rip the CDs in question directly into iTunes.

to change the setting in WMP you go to tools>options>copy musicand uncheck the "copy protect music" box.

However this will not unprotect CD's you have all ready ripped. You will have to rerip them, so as the other poster suggested you might as wel rip them using iTunes

i cannot get my cds to load into the computer under any type of file any ideas
