DVD burning Freeware for OS 9? or other salvage solution ....
Hi everyone,
I just crashed OS X and managed to boot into OS 9. To reinstall X, I will have to erase the hard drive, but I would like to salvage my files first, which include 4 single files too big for CD's.
Easiest would be to archive these files on DVDs but I can't find a freeware program for OS 9 online. Any secrets?
Easier would be to split the files. My OS X Unix-base is still accessible but temperamental. Is there a way to split files through OS 9?
Maybe a bit over-complicated would be to install a third operating system, a variant of Linux which comes with a DVD burner, boot from there and access my files. But would I have to partition my hard drive first? And could I do it with OS 9?
Suggestions? Wisdom?
Thanxxx
