Can't add videos to iTunes

I have been trying to get downloaded videos into iTunes, and can't seem to figure it out.

I have downloaded the videos and have them saved on my computer, however they won't go into iTunes when i use "add files to library" or drag&drop.

The videos are in Windows Media Player format, which i believe may be a problem. I have quicktime downloaded, but can't figure out how to convert the videos to quicktime format.

Can someone tell me how to do this/tell me the right way to fix the problem?

if you are still having a problem you can IM me with my AIM name which is lilsmacky625 , i also was having this problem but now i know how to get videos in itunes and on the ipod, i would post here how to do it but its to hard posting back and forth because i know you will have quesions on what exactly to do

I am having the same issue. I have movies on DVD(i.e. not purchased from the iTunes store) and I would like to transfer them to my IPOD. I can't figure out how to get them into Itunes. If I put the DVD into the DVD drive, there is a folder with a bunch of files with different extensions (e.g. FOB,IFO, BUP). Is it possible to take these files and convert them into a format recognized by the IPOD?

Nothing like 5 people hijacking the same thread. Please start a new thread if each one of you have a question. It doesn't matter if it is the same. Or else the thread turns into a free for all. The terms of use for this site explain what "Hijacking " means. It just keeps the Kaos down.
