strange drone with Yamaha keyboard
My wife gave me a Yamaha YPT-300 midi keyboard for Christmas (yeah!) and I've got it connected to my Mac through an M-Audio MIDISport Uno. It's all connected and GarageBand sees it but I get a strange droning sound when I play unless I turn on the "dual voice" feature of the keyboard.
I saw this thread from last year ( http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1054536􁝈) but in that case the solution was to turn OFF dual voice and in my case it only works if it's on.
Anybody have similar experiences? I can live with the hassle of turning dual voice on and off but I'd like to know if this is how it's supposed to work.
