Mapping network drive following VPN connection

I am able to connect from my iBook to my office Windows network using VPN, but once connected do not know how/where to find the networked folders I want to access (i.e. the equivalent of right clicking on 'My Computer' and selecting 'Map Network Drive' in XP). Any ideas? Thanks.

Once you are connected to the VPN, try the following:

1) In the Finder, go to the "Go" menu, and select "Connect to server"

2) At this point you have two options - type in the address of the server you want to connect to - remember, once you are in the VPN, it would be a local/internal address.

OR

Click the browse button - you will probably see My Network, Servers, and Workgroup (or a custom network name) - browse the appropriate network until you see what you are looking for.

3) Click on the item that you want - probably a server/machine name - then click "Connect" - typically, you will then be given a choice of what folders or other shared items to "mount."

Hope this helps.
