What happened to the forums?

We all like new and refreshing looks, but why make it more complicated to use? how do I search just on the snow leopard forums? Sorry if I missed something, not intuitive enough. Please get rid of the bubble look, is not needed or desired in my view and the intrusive pop-up before clicking on actual the forums you want to go.

Not flaming, just my opinion.

I agree. Now, I'll admit that I should use this new site for a while before complaining, but one of the first things I looked for is a list of my old posts. I finally found them by going into "history" (if I recall correctly), but then all my posts are listed in some odd order, certainly not be most recent.

Oh, well, I'll find to hunt around some more, I'm sure there's something I'm missing.

And another thing - in "all communities", now I have to scroll to get to some. Before, everything was on one page within one easy click.

The new design seems processor intensive. I have an 8 core Mac Pro, and scrolling acts like it's hooked up by weak rubber bands, meaning it does nothing for a long moment, then catches up. And it pegs a processor while doing this!

I have a quad-core Dell desktop, and scrolling is very smooth and only uses 3 percent of the cpu. The new forum isn't processor intensive on all systems. Maybe it's an issue with your browser.

absolute garbage pain in the whatever format.

looks like it was outsourced to Microsoft developers - bunch of overcomplicated nobody ever uses options, features and scroll-downs.

a mess, nothing to be proud off and unwarranted change for the sake of doing something just in order to do something.

there is no justification whatsoever to say one positive thing about this format.

it's comparable to RIM Playbook.

nasty thing would be if Apple inc, paid some serious money to whoever was behind that fiasco.

now let me just try to figure out how to disable notifications that all of a sudden send me emails to my webmail account for the first time in 10 years.

somebody really goofed.

and your spell check was probably developed in Mongolia.

"spellcheck" option here

my participation in the discussions is about done

more does not mean better, cool does not mean better - good to use means better and this format is the opposite of good to use.

I dislike it. It's really slow. Why did they change it? It looks ugly now. It's hard to navigate. I asked a question and it took ages to load--I found out that I had to choose a category before it posted. Non-intuitive stuff like that.

Also I asked another question and then tried to add a computer which I did and then it got stuck on that page and I couldn't go back to the question page to post it.

A lot of bugs in the system.

Don't they test things before they slam it on the people?

Hi,

This is for everybody who complaining about the NEW interface of the Apple Discussion Forum.

I agree that I have to get use to it to ... but there is nothing you can change about it not now and not in the future. It has no use to sent feed back to Apple to complain about the new looks of this Forum. I suggest to get use to it and enjoy the possibility to get in contact with other Apple users to support them or ask for help.

I'm sure that after a while you love this Forum as before ... 😉

See you on the Discussion Board ...
