iTunes "Check for Updates" button no longer working for Apps

In the Apps library the Check for Updates button is no longer working. Clicking on it will either bring up no response or the top of the screen will quickly flash "Accessing iTunes Store". I know that there are updates because I am still seeing them on my iphone. This has been going on for two days now, before then I have not had any problems. Any help would be appreciated.

I updated to 10.2.2 hoping that it will fix the issue. Still does not work for me. I can click on Library-App-Update but when I download ALL or just one update, it tells me that I purchased it but not downloaded it. Clicking on Check for Available Downloads gives me an "iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable" error.

I deauthorized and re-authorized. Signed off and signed back in. Nothing.

Similar to the others, I can download it on the iOS devices.

Here's another thing - App Update shows me 3 updates right now. However, if I select my Profile, it says 20 Available Downloads. Downloading it from that page does nothing, too.

Hoping Apple will fix this soon.

After searching for answers I stumbled upon another forum with people experiencing the same problem. And of course now I can't find it. They had the same issue and it was related to a specific app. Over time it was determined that several people had the same app and that was causing the check for updates to stop working. I decided to try and figure out the last apps I downloaded or updated prior to the problem. After slowly going through a number of apps I hit the right one.

My wife had downloaded the "What to Expect When You Are Expecting - Baby Tracker" app. She had this app and could not update on her iphone. It was also on our iMac and I obviously could not get the check updates to work. It was not on my iphone and I did not have any updating problems. I deleted the app and everything was working fine again.

I don't know if there is a way to list apps by the date modified, but for anyone who has not found a solution you could always give this a shot. Even if you don't have the Baby Tracker app there might be another one that is experiencing the same problem. Once identified and deleted you should be fine. I hope this helps.
