I pad2 camera shutters freeze

My ipad 2 (64GB/wifi/3g) camera suddenly won't work. I tried shutting down all apps, powering down and updating software and restoring and still won't work. The shutters don't open. Any suggestions? It is 1 week old and worked perfectly yesterday.

Try resetting the iPad. Hold down both the power button and the button below the screen. Ignore the power-off bar and keep holding until the Apple symbol appears. Release the buttons and then old the power button until it restarts.
