New discussion forums not iOS compatible

I find it highly ironic that the new Apple discussion forums are not iOS compatible. I used to be able to post and edit posts with my iPad 2 with the old discussion forums. With the new one I can post, but not edit. Trying to edit gives me a message that editing doesn't work on my device and to use a computer.

Hi All,

As we are starting this transition, we wanted to ensure the platform was stable. This is only the beginning, we are going to continue to roll out new features of the platform so please stay tuned! The Apple Support Communities crew is on it!

Matthew, thanks for your support and confidence. 🙂

Not trying to be a pest about it, but it's almost December and still no Edit functionality on the iPad.

Ability to edit the posts is dearly missed, especially on a device with auto-correction. At this point it would be nice to see even a very simplified form of the Mac edit options. I would be happy with just the ability to correct typos.

Pleeeeeease...

Yes, there are all sorts of other issues as well (problems with the Bookmark This dialog window, inability to customize Your View because you can't drag the elements, etc). I was pleading for the text Edit ability as the most critical and the most essential omission.

Could someone with the appropriate privileges, please raise the issue (again?) with the ASC management?

Try editing a second time in iCab. Works for some, apparently, but not for me. Atomic's the only one that works reliably, 100% of the time. But that double caps thing bugs the $&@#% out of me, and iCab does the same thing too, so I still use Safari.

Many regulars have long laundry lists of needed changes here, but there haven't been any changes in a long time. I, for one, have more or less given up.

I think the double caps thing is a very small price to pay for being able to edit and quote on these forums from an iPad.

I know about laundry lists, one of my main gripes about these forums is the way Safari keeps logging me out on my Mac. Chrome doesn't so I moved to using it. This issue, from which only a few people suffer, has been going for a long time now, and although there were mutterings that it was being worked on, there is still no solution, for me anyway.

I would prefer to use Safari on all my devices, but now I use Chrome on my Mac and iCab on my iPad for the reasons stated in this thread.

Shame really that it is issues relating to Apple forums that have moved me away from using Apple browsers.
