Multiple 20% Battery Warnings …bad battery?

Lately i have been getting half a dozen or more 20% battery warnings per charge on my 4th generation iPod Touch. Anyone else running into this? I'm guessing the battery might be going bad. It's around 6 months old, and I don't see this behavior on my iPad, or the wife's iPhone.

I've tried draining the battery completely and fully recharging to try and calibrate the battery, but it continues to happen. It's quite annoying. Suggestions?

24" iMac - Core 2 Duo 2.16, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch 4

Have you tried Resetting the iPod Touch?

Hold down the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time until the Apple Logo appears.

It will reset and restart itself.

See if that helps.

Yeah, I've tried that already. I've read that it might help if I do a complete restore, but I'd like to get a second opinion on that before I waste my time.

I would back your iPod up on iTunes and do a restore, if that doesn't help then try doing a full restore and set it up as a new iPod and see if the error goes away, also make sure your running the newest firmware by plugging the iPod into iTunes and click on update.

Try using a different cord. This happened to me too and using a different cord helped. Try also doing tests with different cords and different chargers. Leave a combo for 4 hours and look at the battery on the lock screen. If this does not help go to the nearest apple retail store.

When you do a restore does it delete progress in your games?

Oh, and unfortunately the closest Apple Store is like 3 hours away. :(

Try contacting them by phone. I think that when you restore it that it deletes all your purchased apps but if you sync it to a computer than it will hold your apps but not your progress.

One more question before I try restoring. I just updated to 4.3.2 last night. Isn't that essentially the same thing as restoring? I mean, the whole OS gets rewritten, right?

Oh, and it still screws up with 4.3.2.
