It's been over a year and they haven't done so yet so I personally doubt if they will.
There are many wx apps available for the iPad. Some paid and some free.
I use either the weather section available in the Bing app or the iPad weather app from The Weather Channel. Both are free.
Thisnisna user-to-user forum. No one here would be able to comment on Apple's future plans. However, there are lots of weather apps both free and paid, in the app store.
I know that there are a lot of free apps but none of them is so great as it is Apple's weather app on iPhone. I don't like ads in app neither don't want to pay for such a basic app.
I hope Apple can hear me...
The app Fahrenheit weather app is very similar to the apple weather app with one exception it displays the current temp as a badge. Check it out.

To tell them what you want, use this:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
But realistically, it's hard to imagine them spending time on this given all the fine alternatives.
Intellicast HD and WeatherBug (both free in the App store) seem to be the best I've seen.. I used the XML service from Intellicast's parent, WSI, before and it was outstanding..
Accuweather is cool, too -- and it's FREE!
that seems like a lazy solution to the issue. "there's an app for that in the App Store". They have this great ecosystem of devices and software. If they have a great app on one, it should be adapted for all. You know what? I'd even be happy if they just made them available as a free download, like they did with Trailers (also probably the best movie app out there) and the new Podcast Apps.
Nobody else has cared about this topic for over a year now. If you still do, let Apple know via the feedback link given earlier.
hey, no sence in being snippy about it. excuse me for wanting to post my opinion to your responce.😕
I think ios 6 will bring weather with it. You cannot find it on the official iOS 6 page but Siri can tell the weather so weather should come with ios 6.
A search of "Weather" in the US app store results in nearly 2,500 results. Some of the apps are specialized, but most are general weather report apps, many are free. Pretty much a non-issue. Plenty of weather apps available.
It's an issue to some...some people like the native app and don't want to pay for an app (and 4 others) Apple should have rightfully had on the iPad since Day One. Not to mention many of those "free" apps come with the annoyance of ads.
The weather app and the clock app that are standard on iphone should be on the iPad... No I do not want to download 3rd party apps, I want the standard one apple created and put on the iPhone.
The apple apps are clean, easy to read, have only the important information, streamlined. This behavior of taking away something that made you good to begin with (maps, weather, clock) and telling us to get 3rd party will turn me away from being a loyal customer... (reminds me of facebook, and windows poor software management).
Because the whole reason why people like apple was the customer service, streamline design software, and less bugs... very few 3rd party apps compare to apple products.
And to mention, 3rd party apps never go away in your history! You will collect hundreds of apps trying to find the one that works as well as the standard apple app, and be boggled with adds, and if your ipad starts acting up... Apple will tell you it is your problem because they are not responsible for 3rd party apps and them interferring with software compatibility.
