Airport WiFi connection drops | TP-Link TL-WR340GD
Hello,
I have a problem with my white Macbook in combination with the TP-Link TL-WR340GD router.
The issue is; when the router is started (or restarted) my WiFi connection works fine for roughly 8 - 15 hours, afterwords it seems like I am still connected to the router, however Internet access is not longer possible (even though I have 4 bars in the Airport icon). I am then also not able to access the webinterface (192.168.1.1) of the router (after a restart of the router this is easily possible). When I switch Airport on/off, I will have Internet connection again for about 10 minutes, then it drops again.
What I did so far (but what did not solve the issue):
- Factory reset of the router
- Update to the newest firmware of the router
- Software Update on my mac (goes without saying..)
- Complete reinstall of my macbook
- Deletion of Airport preferences
I am really puzzled right now, because it also the case that the other laptops in the network are not affected by this problem at all. I tested it with a windows laptop and directly after accessing the router from my macbook was no longer possible, I could still open the interface from the windows machine. What is even more confusing is that I experience exactly the same problem with my iPhone 3Gs (4.3.1).
Following some details about my Airport extreme card and the network:
Airport:
Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x93)
Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (5.10.131.36.9)
Locale: ETSI
Country Code: KR
Supported PHY Modes: 802.11 a/b/g/n
Router:
TL-WR340GD, running newest firmware
WPA 2 encryption
fixed IP (but also tried with dynamic)
It would be really awesome if anyone could help me with this!
Thanks a lot,
