IPod Classic and IPhone incompatiable problem

I have IPod classic that I have been extremely happy with. I now have purchased ipod nano and Iphone. the older version and the new 2.2 are not compatiable. I want to use all my IPods and Iphone, but I only have my one computer, how can I update all of my Apple products. I want to use them all.
