Im now running IOS 4.1 smoothly, but i want the new features and an updated phone. Please can any 1 tell me what the best IOS is?

The 3GS is still a fast phone (the iPhone 3G is the slow one). I would suggest updating to iOS 4.3.2 (via iTunes). That offers the latest performance and battery power from Apple. The 3GS runs iOS 4.3.2 smoothly.

4.3.2 runs smoothly on the iPhone 3GS it doesn't slow it down and it also helps with battery life, and sorry but we can't talk about "JB" on the discussions, hope you enjoy 4.3.2

Stupid, i wanted to update but get an error: 300[?] How can i solve the problem.

Hope down the home button and the power button until the phone powers off and it will start back up and when you see the apple logo then release the buttons, also make sure the phone is plugged into iTunes, iTunes will detect that the iPhone needs to be restored and it will let you update :)
Yes. Try it again. If that doesn't work: If you have wifi-sync installed on your computer, that is the problem. Go into safe mode (I am assuming you have a mac). Turn off the computer. Press the shift key, and press the power button. Try it that way. Lastly, try restoring. Also, I agree with iAlex92, I do not want to talk about Justin Beiber 😉
That will restore your device though (doing what iAlex92 said). Make sure your iPhone is backed up.
oesnt help? you meen put my phone in DFU mode? Hold home and power release after 10 sec. and then only holding home button. Am i right?
